Board members are elected by either the Board or in conjunction with members in good standing at a designated meeting. There are no term limits.
A Board member may be removed at any time, with or without cause, either at a meeting called for such purpose and may be removed by majority vote of members in good standing present and voting. At such meeting a proposed member can be replaced by the Board and attending members.

The treasurer shall have custody of the corporate funds and other valuable effects, shall keep full and accurate accounts of receipts and disbursements in books belonging to the Club and shall deposit all moneys and other valuable effects in the name and to the credit of the Club in such depositories as may be designated by the Board. The treasurer shall maintain a system of internal fiscal control and shall report regularly to the Board on the expenses and financial condition of the Club.
The coordinator shall keep the minutes of the meetings of the members and the Board. In addition the coordinator will monthly schedule meetings, create an agenda, review minutes from the previous meeting, conduct the meeting and provide input for member updates (sent as an email).
The Membership Coordinator shall keep track of members and issue reminder notices when due. This person will also have access to the Paypal account.
The minutes of each meeting are recorded by this person and the document is sent to the club distribution group for archiving.
This person reaches out to welcome new members informing them of the benefits of joining the club.
The Awards Coordinator will maintain the list of those members who qualify for the RI Cup and Ironman/Ironwoman awards.
The Pacing Coordinator will be in charge of organizing pacing for events with RIRR members.
The clothing person will be in charge or ordering, storing and dispersing singlets for new membership and singlet sales.
The Webmaster will be in charge of maintaining the website.
The editor of the newsletter will be in charge of organizing the newsletter each month.
The person in charge of the Grand Prix will maintain the race schedule and tally the members who have completed listed races.
The Volunteer Coordinator will maintain a detailed list of all volunteer efforts members have put forth. This may be used to determine eligibility for the Boston Lottery.
One of the requirements from the BAA to be considered for a waiver is membership in the local chapter of USATF (New England). The club liaison would be responsible to join the USATF by agreeing to a background screening completed by the USATF and every two years would be required to take a US Olympic Committee SafeSport course, which involves viewing 90-minute video.
This person maintains the club’s Twitter and FaceBook accounts (both private and public).
HALL OF FAME COMMITTEE
The committee will research and determine which member(s) will be inducted into the RIRR Hall of Fame.
Coordinates volunteer opportunities with the BAA.
This person is in charge or ordering and maintaining any clothing stock outside of singlets.
