She “retired” from running on Labor Day weekend at her hometown Finish for a Guinness 5K. She helps out with a lot of races — the old Warren Substance Abuse 5K and Pet Partners Halloween 5K come to mind, as well as our club race. She encouraged a lot of younger runners to start the sport of running (look at the Devil Dogs) and she was a force in the 50-59 and 60-69 age divisions for so many years.

She started the Devil Dogs “Run Devil Dogs, Run!” and how she carried the torch in the Special Olympics “Flame of hope”

Also came in 1st in 60 yo age group in Mt. Washington race (2008) in 1:46:41!!!!
