Grand Prix Rules and Schedule

Races are not counted if a member is delinquent in paying their dues during the time of the race. 

In order to be eligible for prize money you cannot wear another club’s attire while running any of these races.

Hyannis Half Marathon, March 4
Newport Half Marathon, April 15
Summer Nights 5K, Bristol, June 22
Four on the Fourth, Dedham, Mass., July 4
Blessing of the Fleet 10-Miler, July 28
Common Fence Point 5-Mile fun run, Aug. 20
Finish for a Guinness 5K, Warren, Sept. 3
South Foster Firefighters 10K, Oct. 14
Colt State Park Half Marathon, Nov. 5
Replacement race is Trot Off Your Turkey 5K at end of November.

Top 10 members score points. Runners are awarded points (1-10) based on their placing in the race with the highest point being 10 and the lowest 1.
1st place = 10 points
2nd place = 9 points
10th place = 1 point

Age group
Runners also score points on how they place in their age group.
(18 and under) (19-29) (30-39) (40-49) (50-59) (60-69) (70+)
1st place = 3 points
2nd place = 2 points
3rd place = 1 point

Overall Race Results Bonus Points
Finish in top 10 overall = 5 bonus points
Finish in Age Group Top 3 = (3,2,1) bonus points
No double dipping – you earn points for finishing in the top 10 overall OR in the top three in your age group, not both categories

Infamous Weather Bonus
1 point for adverse weather conditions as judged by John Santillo
extreme heat, downpours, snow, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquake, etc.

Prizes are determined by overall point total. Guys against guys and ladies against ladies.
Overall winner will be the highest point total of guys and ladies together. Ties will split the prize.
1st place = $200
2nd place = $150
3rd place = $100
4th place = $75
5th place = $50
6th place = $25
